Shop Class my freshman year of high school was the first time I realized I liked creating things with my hands. I'd always been a good student in school, and I was used to manual labor from living in the country, but the shop was my first time actually building something that someone could use. This helped me realize that I wanted a more hands-on career along with higher learning, so I chose Mechanical Engineering when it came time for college. BAJA became an outlet for me to get away from the homework and classroom at ONU, but still learn a lot from what I did. It has been a great experience with automotive engineering as well as team oriented competition, and has given me a lot of amazing friends!
