I have had an interest in working with my hands since a young age when my father and grandfather taught me how to wire a house while they were finishing our basement. I had the opportunity to be in a STEM-based curriculum in 8th grade and dove right in. From there, I applied my electrical knowledge and desire to design and build things for the theatrical department and became the Student Technical Director at the end of my freshman year. While in high school, I enrolled in the welding and sheet metal fabrication program at the local trade school and graduated from both at the same time. Not sure about college, I worked for a gap year in the welding manufacturing industry before returning to school to pursue a mechanical and electrical engineering degree from Ohio Northern University to advance my career designing and building machines to accelerate and support the manufacturing process. I chose to join the Baja team to make friends and memories that I will never forget while expanding my knowledge about the design and build process.
